The first Jane Lloyd Fund New England Clambake was held two years ago. The day was perfect! Good food and music in one great place at the bottom of Satre Hill, home of SWSA. A huge success again last year, we would like to thank the Sponsors, all of those who volunteered their time, sent donations and all of you who could attend. You have helped us continue our goal to help the victims of cancer and their families with some of the day to day financial needs.

Calendar of Upcoming Events

Throughout the year we will be busy arranging events to raise funds that will help area families deal with the daily battles of life with cancer and to do so with dignity. The Lloyd family will be holding these events to help raise funds for those who need the same help financially as Jane needed in her time of illness. In her spirit these events will bring us closer together to remember Jane and her unending pursuit to live life to the fullest and to remember her great strengths and inspiration.

The Annual Clambake returns! September 13th, 2008
MARK YOUR CALENDER - THE ANNUAL CLAMBAKE

The third annual Jane Lloyd Fund Clambake returns to SWSA’s Satre Hill on Saturday, September 13th, 2008 from 12:00pm – 7:00pm!!

Please join us for another year of fun, food, friends, and music. The traditional New England clambake begins with the building of a large kiln used to cook clams, lobsters, potatoes, and corn all on a bed of seaweed. If you’ve never seen this cooking method before, it truly is a site to see! There is also plenty of clam chowder, a clam raw bar, beer and wine.

The Lakeville Hose Company will be busy at the grill again this year cooking up hot dogs and hamburgers which are available to purchase. You are welcome to bring your own picnic and enjoy the company and music, but we ask that you please make a donation to The Jane Lloyd fund.

The day is livened by entertainment from Eliot Osborn and Louise Lindenmeyer (of Project Troubadour fame) and the many friends that gather to share their music and talent. Joe DeDonato and his doctor colleagues from Sharon Hospital, also known as Maximum dosage, will get everyone up and dancing to end the day. 100% of the proceeds go directly to helping families battling the devastating disease of cancer. Please join us knowing that you are helping a family in need and having a great time doing it! For more information, please call Tanya Tedder at 860.435.9661 or Donna Lloyd at 860.824.5493. NOVEMBER '08

11/29/2008 - THE JLF SNOW MOON DANCE Snow Moon Dance Flyer Info

Well we all hope you enjoyed the third annual New Dngland Clam and Lobster Bake. And now we hope you and your whole family, young and old will join us for the third annual Snow Moon Dance on November 29th held at the White Hart Inn in Salisbury. An evening of fun, dancing and conversation with old friends who found their way home for the Thanksgiving Holiday. The evening starts at 7:00 pm with the music of The Joint Chiefs. Their diverse selection of music from folk to rock fills the dance floor at the sound of the first note. Then at 8:30 the premiere dance band in the tri-state region takes the stage - Advanced Funk. This high energy band with their three peice horn section sparks everyone in the room to move their feet.

So come join us for the evening to support The Jane Lloyd Fund. Like many of Jane's friends and neighbors who helped her in her time of need while she fought cancer, 100% of the proceeds from the Snow Moon Dance will help support cancer patients in the Region One area with their day to day living expenses. The Jane Lloyd Fund is a fund within the Berkshire Taconic Community Foundation.
