Colton’s Story

Colton

Colton loves cars! While in his hospital room at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, Colton could hear the cars buzzing on the streets below, which excited and distracted him from his treatments.

Colton, the adorable, tow-headed toddler was diagnosed with a rare cancer that resulted in the loss of his left eye and the need for chemotherapy to save his right eye. Following his family's move to an affordable housing complex to reduce expenses, they contacted The Jane Lloyd Fund for help with the medical bills and costs of constant travel to and from New York's Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.

Thanks to your gifts, Colton's family, which includes a brother and a sister, received two grants from The Jane Lloyd Fund and a year later, his mom reports, "Colton is doing great and will hopefully get a new prosthetic soon since the first one doesn't fit quite right. September 19 was one year in remission."

If you ever wondered whether your gift makes a difference, Colton's story is proof that it DOES! YOU change lives when you give to The Jane Lloyd Fund and your donation will give help and hope to families like Colton's. Your gift will change a cancer patient's life. Just look at Colton!

An update on Colton… His mom reports “Colton is doing awesome and loving his new school. His left eye is still cancer free and he now has glasses to help protect it.”

“There was a real fear as to how we would survive without his income. Thanks to the generosity of the Jane Lloyd Fund we were able to concentrate on his getting better...thank you so very, very much.”
