“I met Jane Lloyd twice. I didn't know her well, but after she died, I was touched by the depth of grief expressed by our mutual friends.
I knew her friends had established the Jane Lloyd Fund to help cancer patients in our community just as our community had helped Jane in her time of need.
It was good to know the Fund was there.
Six years later, my world changed forever, in ways I never imagined.
I was diagnosed with cancer.
I was afraid and felt pushed and rushed into decisions. I wanted my decisions to be grounded in a choice to live, not a fear of dying. In hospice, I was advised to contact the Jane Lloyd Fund. My world changed again.
I filled out the incredibly simple application and the fund took over most of my household bills. Literally, I didn't need to do anything except forward the bills to the Jane Lloyd Fund.
The Jane Lloyd Fund provided community support which upheld me through my whole healing process.
I am well again and living as fully as possible.
